PulseFrame Guide

How It Works

PulseFrame listens to live audio or a loaded audio file, analyzes its energy and spectrum in real time, and turns those changes into motion, color, and scene changes on the canvas.

  1. Open the Live page and choose either Live Input or Audio File.
  2. If you use live input, pick the device that carries the sound you want to visualize.
  3. Press Start Visuals to begin analysis and rendering.
  4. Tune Beat Sensitivity, Smoothing, Trail, and Energy Boost for the response you want.
  5. Choose a scene from the dropdown to lock the look.

Low Latency Tips

  • Disable software effects on the input when possible, especially noise suppression and AGC.
  • Prefer wired audio interfaces over Bluetooth for steadier timing.
  • Close unnecessary browser tabs and background apps before performance.
  • Use fullscreen mode for smoother render timing.

Controls Overview

  • Beat Sensitivity changes how easily pulses and accents are detected.
  • Smoothing controls whether motion feels fluid or sharp.
  • Trail adjusts how long previous frames stay visible.
  • Energy Boost amplifies the visual response to incoming sound.
